We are proud to be a Sustainable Salon! Our mission is to reduce waste, carbon emissions and by implementing a sustainable practice that will benefit the local community, our business and the planet! Not only are we a part of the Sustainable Salon movement, but we also make a huge effort to be an eco conscious beauty salon.
Recycling in the beauty industry is essential for a number of reasons. Not only does it help to reduce waste, but it also helps conserve natural resources and protect the environment. We also choose environmentally friendly alternatives for our everyday salon items such as cleaning products, toilet paper and tissues, towels, glad wrap, disposable gloves and more! When it comes to our ecological footprint, every little bit counts.
You're making salon waste history! Up to 95% of resources used during your service will be diverted from landfill and sent for recycling.
Your visit changes lives. Throughout the sustainable salons operations, people with a disability are ethically employed for resource collection and processing. Sustainable salon movement provides support and fundraising for local non-for-profit organisations that help those less fortunate. Via the proceeds and resources from our recycling, we help feed the homeless and bring smiles to sick kids.
We turn our waste into food. All aluminum products, cardboard, paper, magazines, unwanted tools, glass and select disposables are sold for recycling and the proceeds are donated to Ozharvest and KiwiHarvest to provide meals to those in need.
Our plastic stays fantastic! Our plastic packaging is sent to specialist local recyclers where it is cleaned and made into closed loop products and packaging, keeping it in circulation and out of our oceans!
We’re making over mama earth! Select disposable products used during your treatment are pulled apart and the materials are sent for repurposing.
