PARKING

Where to Park

There is limited parking around the salon. Please check time frames on our parking map as a guide. Please prepare accordingly and allow ample time to find a park, and feel free to sit in our reception or courtyard area if you are early to your appointment. The Beauty Extract can’t guarantee exact timings for appointments as we may require more time for your service and don’t want to rush you.

SMS messages

Our SMS messages are sent from a computer, not a mobile number. Please be aware that we cannot view picture messages. Kindly respond within 7 days; otherwise, your reply will be automatically removed from our system.

For faster communication, please reach out to us via email. However, if you are responding to a follow-up SMS, feel free to reply directly to that message.

Booking deposit required for all bookings

Please note a non-refundable booking deposit is required for all bookings at The Beauty Extract. This must be paid at the time of booking to secure your appointment. A $200 booking deposit is required for all initial cosmetic tattoo appointments, $50 is required for all Skin Treatments and all other treatments / services require a booking deposit which is a small portion of the overall service / treatment fee. 

Your booking deposit can move with your appointment should you need to reschedule. If rescheduling is undertaken within 24 hours* prior to your appointment time, you will lose your booking deposit and a new booking deposit will be required for the new appointment. *48 hours for cosmetic tattoo bookings.

For bookings made over the phone you will be sent an invoice to your email which has a link for you to make your booking deposit payment. If your booking deposit is not paid, your appointment is not confirmed. Bookings made online are pencilled in until we have checked over and confirm the booking, you will be notified once we have confirmed it. Booking deposits are non-refundable and can be used towards other services if there is a change of mind.

Appointment reminders

You will receive an automated email reminder and an automated text reminder three days prior to your scheduled appointment. These are from our automated system and are not linked with the salons contact number. We do not require a reply unless you are seeking to cancel or reschedule, in which case please contact the salon as soon as possible on 9119 5678.

Need to cancel your appointment?

Please inform the salon on 9119 5678, of your cancellation or request to reschedule as soon as possible as this allows clients on our reservation list the opportunity to fill the appointment. If a cancellation is made inside the 24 hour period, your 50% booking deposit will be forfeited.

Cancellation of a cosmetic tattoo booking requires a minimum of 48 hours’ notice, or your booking deposit will be forfeited. Initial cosmetic tattoo appointments require a $200 booking deposit. All other cosmetic tattoo appointments require a booking deposit of 50% of the treatment fee.

No shows or cancellations made inside the 4 hours prior to any appointment will result in your booking deposit being forfeited, in addition to the remainder of the service cost being charged.

Running late for your appointment?

Please inform the salon if you know you’re going to be late for your appointment. There will be a 15 minute grace period which may result in limited service options. Arrivals after the 15 minute grace period may result in the automatic cancellation of your appointment (service depending), and will require you to pay the remainder of your booked service fee.

If you change your service/s due to running late or due to change of mind within 24 hours* of your appointment, your initial booked service fee/s will be charged. *48 hours for cosmetic tattoo bookings.

Want to change your booked service/s?

Please let the salon know as soon as possible if you wish to change your booked service. If you change your mind and cancel any of your booked services, with less than 24 hours’* notice, your initial booked service fee/s will be charged. *48 hours for cosmetic tattoo bookings.

Sustainable salon $3 service fee

Your beauty service at The Beauty Extract is not only making a difference to how you feel and look!! Now you can look good - by having a sustainable beauty service from us, Feel good - that you are making an ecological difference, Do good - by giving a disabled person a job and feeding the less fortunate.

Each time you visit our Sustainable Salon your service bill will include a small fee of $3 that will support us to keep our commitment to sustainability without compromising the quality service we offer you. This fee is only included for services valued $50 and above.

95% of the resources used during your services will be diverted from landfill and sent for recycling! It goes towards resource collection and redirection, supporting the community and research into improving our sustainable practices. Our values resonate strongly with the sustainable salons mission and we are passionate about making a difference to people and the planet.

Any changes to your medical health / history / allergies / medications?

Please notify The Beauty Extract prior to any treatment if any of your medical information has changed. Medications / allergies / health issues can compromise some treatments and procedures.

Salon Prices

Prices are subject to change without notice. The Beauty Extract is a salon of excellence and takes pride in the quality of products and services provided.

How can I pay for my treatments?

Payments can be made by cash or via EFTPOS Visa, Mastercard, American Express or AfterPay

For bookings made over the phone you will be sent an invoice to your email which has a link for you to make your non- refundable booking deposit payment. If your booking deposit is not paid, your appointment is not confirmed.

Bookings made online are pencilled in until we have checked over and confirm the booking, you will be notified once we have confirmed it. Payment is also taken online at the time of booking through a safe payment gateway.

Booking deposits are non-refundable and can be used towards other services if there is a change of mind.

Our Refund Policy

At The Beauty Extract, we’re committed to ensuring the utmost satisfaction of our clients. Our refund policy is designed to address these concerns while maintaining a fair and equitable process for both our clients and our business.
SERVICE REFUNDS:
• Due to the nature of our services, results can vary significantly from person to person. While we strive to achieve the best possible outcome, we cannot guarantee specific results.
• If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of a treatment, please let us know within 7 days of receiving the service. 
• Refunds for services already rendered will only be considered in cases of significant adverse reaction, and at the discretion of our management. Documentation (such as photos or medical reports) must be supplied.
PRODUCT REFUNDS:
• Adverse Reaction: Should you experience an adverse reaction to any product within 14 days of purchase, we will offer an immediate replacement with an alternative product, if available. In the absence of a suitable replacement, we will issue a full refund for the product in question. (Photos must be supplied).
• Change of Mind: If you have a change of heart about a product purchase within 7 days, we are happy to provide a replacement or store credit, provided the product has not been used and its packaging remains unopened and intact.
• Faulty Packaging: In the event of a packaging defect, such as a non-functional pump, reported within 14 days from the purchase date, we will replace the product at no additional cost.
• For all returns and exchanges, please bring the product and your proof of purchase to The Beauty Extract. We aim to resolve any issues efficiently and to your satisfaction.
GIFT CARDS:
• Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Any unused balance will remain on the gift card and can be used for future purchases.

Covid Policy

 I understand that: 
  1. Physical distancing of 1.5 metres may not be possible when in the salon receiving services.
  2. I must sanitise my hands before entering the salon 
  3. I must make all attempts to cover my mouth and nose in the event of coughing and/or sneezing and then immediately sterilize my hands 
  4. I will minimise the touching of common surfaces/areas
  5. I may be unable to proceed with services if they are deemed unsafe to myself or a staff member
  6. I understand the staff will do everything possible to minimise the spread of COVID-19, but will not hold them responsible should I contract COVID-19
I confirm that:
  1. I am currently not positive for COVID-19 
  2. I am not waiting for the results of a laboratory test for COVID-19
  3. I have not been identified as a contact of someone who has tested 
  4. I am not in high risk category for increased illness or death from COVID-19
  5. I am not presenting with any of the following symptoms of COVID-19

It is important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
