We’ve finished your treatment with nourishing hydration and SPF — where possible, leave these on for the rest of the day (or overnight) to allow your skin to fully absorb the benefits.
It’s normal for your skin to feel slightly flushed, warm, or mildly sensitive after treatment. Over the next few days, you may also notice mild dryness or small breakouts as your skin adjusts and renews.
For the next 24 hours:
• Cleanse with a gentle, non-exfoliating cleanser
• Apply a hydrating moisturiser morning and night
• Wear SPF daily
• Avoid exfoliation, strong actives, and touching your skin
• Drink plenty of water and nourish your body with healthy foods
• Follow any personalised advice from your dermal clinician

Before your waxing appointment:
- During the week prior to getting waxed, prep the area by exfoliating, this will open up the follicle and minimize the chance of ingrown hairs as well as giving you a better result.
- On the day of your waxing appointment, do not apply any creams or lotions to the areas you are getting waxed, this will help you get a much better hair free result.
After your waxing appointment:
- Wear loose clothing for a few hours after your wax treatment.
- Wear cotton underwear for 24hours after a bikini or brazilian wax service.
- Don't expose the skin to sun or tanning beds for a few days, or any use of tanning products.
- Avoid having a hot shower or bath for 24hours.
- Always wash with a clean washcloth. Loofahs or mesh sponges can harbor bacteria and cause breakouts/infections.
- Don't swim in chlorinated pools, rivers, or dirty water for 24 hours.
- Don't exercise for 24 hours or avoid anything that may cause perspiration, as this may irritate freshly waxed skin and cause breakouts.
- Don't apply scented creams/lotions/talc/deodorant for 24 hours as this could aggravate the waxed skin.
- If you are prone to ingrown hair, we recommend the use of an exfoliating scrub/mitt 2 to 3 times a week. Don't do this immediately after your waxing session. Wait several days after getting waxed to start exfoliating.
- Avoid scratching or touching the treated area with unwashed hands.
- It is not unusual to have a break out after your first waxing session. You may also notice a small amount of regrowth after a week or so. It can take up to 4 treatments for your hair to get on a growth cycle that gives you best results. Regular waxing sessions at 4 to 6 week intervals will give you smoother results, less ingrown, and no more breakouts!
- Please note: some slight soreness, small bumps and redness are common and perfectly normal temporary reactions, particularly if this is your first wax. These symptoms should subside over the next 24-48 hours.
Follow any additional instructions provided by your beauty therapist.
