Supporting your skin while it heals and regenerates.
Immediately After Your Treatment
We have applied suitable serums, hydrating moisturising creams, and SPF following your treatment.
For best results and to avoid irritation, do not cleanse your skin for a minimum of 12 hours post treatment.
The First 48 Hours
Your skin may feel similar to a mild sunburn and you may experience:
- Redness
- Warmth or heat
- Mild swelling or sensitivity
This is a normal response. During this time, your focus should be on gentle care and skin barrier support.
- Do not touch, pick, squeeze, or aggravate the skin
- Use only a gentle cleanser and moisturiser, as recommended by your dermal clinician
- YOU MUST use a broad-spectrum SPF 50 daily. Failure to use SPF may compromise your results
We recommend Guiya Mineral Makeup if makeup is required during the recovery period.
Avoid for 48 Hours Post Treatment
- Makeup (mineral makeup only if needed)
- Direct UV exposure (sun, solariums, sun beds)
- Intense exercise or cardio
- Hot showers, baths, spas, or saunas
- Spray tans or self-tanning products
- Swimming (chlorinated pools or ocean)
Avoid for 5 Days Post Treatment
- Mechanical exfoliants or scrubs
- AHAs & BHAs (including glycolic, lactic, and salicylic acids)
- Retinoids (retinol, retinaldehyde, tretinoin, adapalene)
- Hydroquinone
- Benzoyl peroxide, alcohol-based products, or bleaching agents
- Tattooing (including cosmetic tattooing)
- Additional aesthetic treatments (microdermabrasion, laser, IPL, chemical peels, injectables)
After Day 5
- Continue gentle care until all redness and inflammation have settled
- You may notice dryness, flaking, congestion, or minor breakouts — this is normal and part of the healing process
- These symptoms may last 7–14 days, depending on your skin and the intensity of treatment
- You may recommence your prescribed homecare routine from day 5, unless advised otherwise
Downtime varies depending on the level of treatment performed.
